Capabilities
The following sections briefly
describe the project experience and capabilities of Total Corrosion Solutions,
Inc.
Cathodic
Protection System Installations
Total Corrosion Solutions, Inc is involved with the
design, implementation, energizing, monitoring, and troubleshooting of cathodic
protection systems on a daily basis.
Typically, these structures include at and below grade storage tanks,
well casings, buried and submerged pipelines, water tanks, heat exchangers,
piles, and an extensive variety of other submerged and buried facilities.
Total Corrosion Solutions, Inc personnel have designed and installed cathodic protection systems for above ground storage tanks in the surrounding 5 state area. Using the most cost effect design for each specific installation provides the owner with the reassurance that corrosion related failures are a controllable part of their expenditures. Using industry standard Cathodic protection materials and state of the art installation equipment TCS’s installations provide satisfactory levels of performance even under the harshest conditions. TCS has distribution rights for the TELPRO Mixed Metal Oxide anode system in the USA. This system employs titanium ribbon anode distributed over the soil side of the tank base plate to ensure uniform current distribution and complete cathodic protection of the tank base. The useful life of the tank can be extended for more than 50 years using this cost effective system, which will eliminate soil side corrosion damage.
Underground Storage Tanks
Total Corrosion Solutions, Inc provides a number of
services to the owners of underground storage tanks, primarily convenience
store and industrial owners. Cathodic protection and upgrade component designs,
installation, monitoring, and troubleshooting for underground tanks are
provided on a daily basis. Total
Corrosion Solutions, Inc has completed hundreds of projects of this type. Total
Corrosion Solutions, Inc has performed corrosion control services on
underground storage tanks all over the contiguous United States.
Cathodic Protection of Pipelines
Cross county pipelines are government mandated to have
cathodic protection as a method of corrosion control. Total Corrosion
Solutions, Inc personnel have designed, installed and maintained systems in the
Montana Wyoming North Dakota, Colorado, Utah and Nebraska Areas since the early
1980’s. Over this period of time many
differ rent conditions have been encountered and a variety of different
cathodic protection installation methods have been utilized. The experience that has been gained over the
years in this area assures the pipeline operator that the dollars that they
spent are bringing maximum benefit.
In the Montana, Wyoming, and North Dakota areas there
are numerous problems with corrosion related failures on well casings. For a
crude oil well this may simply be a problem with casing wall thinning and the
collapse of the casing. A natural gas well can experience the same failure
mechanism however too many times once the gas well casing g has perforated
pressures are lost and productions levels may never be fully regained after
repairs have been completed. TCS
personnel have installed literally thousand of cathodic protection systems for
well casings. Using conventional AC power or New Solar power technology these
cathodic protection systems prevent corrosion related failures.
Water is an ever increasingly valuable commodity. TCS personnel have designed and installed cathodic protection systems for water and waste water systems over a 5 state area. These systems when properly maintained will prevent corrosion related failures, which can not only lead to the loss of water but can also result in property damage.
Chemical Plants, Power Plants, Refineries, Compression
Facilities all have one common problem. Corrosion failures lead to product
losses, liability issues and downtime. TCS personnel have been involved in
these applications for the last two decades.
The challenges of working in a plant environment have been met and
numerous cathodic protection installations have been implemented to mitigate
the detrimental effects of corrosion.
TCS personnel have the safety training that allows them to work in any
of the areas plants.
